Requirements

In order to qualify for the job you must have the following:

Languages
English (required)

Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience
1 year to less than 2 years of relevant carpentry experience

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety standards
  • Must be able to work in outdoor, dusty, and noisy environments
  • Physically fit to handle demanding construction tasks
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

As a Carpenter at Reno Constructions, you will:

  • Prepare cost estimates for labour and materials
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine job specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, and light steel materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and construct walls and roofing systems
  • Fit and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures
  • Schedule and coordinate work at job sites
  • Ensure all work meets company and safety standards

Work Conditions

This position involves:

  • Working in outdoor and sometimes noisy environments
  • Physically demanding tasks and use of various hand and power tools
  • Handling wood, lightweight steel, and other building materials
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety protocols
