Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver, your duties will include:
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Loading and unloading goods as required
- Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and equipment
- Maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Providing professional customer service and addressing client concerns
- Driving as part of a two-person team or convoy when required
- Performing basic maintenance and brake adjustments
- Relaying information to central dispatch and following assigned travel itineraries
Work Conditions
This role requires:
- Frequent or constant travel, including overnight trips
- Physical stamina for handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks
- Ability to sit for extended periods
