Responsibilities
As a Cook, your duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Planning menus, determining food portions, and estimating food requirements
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
- Ordering supplies and equipment as required
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Cleaning kitchen and work areas
- Organizing buffets and banquets
- Managing overall kitchen operations
